Jensen received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and studied business administration at the University of Michigan. He graduated from the advanced management program at Harvard University.
He began his business career with Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Sales in 1954. In following years, he was a member of the board of directors of multiple companies, including Tiger International and Flying Tigers since May 1985.
By August 1985, Jensen was elected president and chief executive officer of Tiger International to succeed Wayne Hoffman, who will continue as Chairman of TI.
